How do Pêlo calming chews work?

Our calming chews use a blend of naturally soothing ingredients — hemp, valerian root, chamomile, passionflower, and melatonin — that work together to help take the edge off stress and promote relaxation in dogs.

How long do they take to work?

Most dogs settle within about 30–45 minutes. That's why we recommend giving a chew ahead of a known stressful event — before the storm rolls in, the car ride, or guests arriving.

Will they make my dog drowsy or sedated?

No. The goal is calm, not knocked out. The chews are designed to help your dog relax and feel safe while still being themselves — no zombie stare, no heavy sedation.

How does the heartbeat duck toy work?

It has a battery-powered pulse module that mimics a littermate's heartbeat. Dogs curl up against it and settle — it's especially effective for puppies on their first nights home and dogs with separation anxiety.

What's in the calming chews?

Natural calming ingredients including hemp, valerian root, chamomile, passionflower, and melatonin, in a soft, bacon-flavored treat. No artificial colors, no harsh chemicals, no cheap fillers.

Do they contain CBD? Is it legal where I live?

Some of our products contain hemp-derived ingredients and, where applicable, CBD. Regulations vary by country, province, state, and territory, so it's your responsibility to confirm these products are permitted where you live. If you're unsure, check your local rules and ask your veterinarian before ordering.

How many chews should I give my dog?

It depends on your dog's weight: small dogs (under 25 lbs) 1 chew, medium dogs (25–75 lbs) 2 chews, large dogs (75+ lbs) 3 chews. Give before a stressful event, or daily for ongoing support. Always follow the label and start with the lowest effective amount.

Can I use them every day?

Yes — they can be given daily for ongoing calming support, or as needed before stressful situations. As with any supplement, check with your veterinarian if your dog has a medical condition, is pregnant or nursing, or is taking other medication.

Are they safe? Any side effects?

Our chews are made for healthy adult dogs using natural ingredients. Every dog is different, so introduce any new supplement gradually and discontinue use if your dog has an adverse reaction. We are not veterinarians and our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease — always consult your vet for medical concerns.

How much is shipping and how fast will it arrive?
